How to Print a Page as PDF on Your Mobile and Laptop Browser

Many a times, especially as a student do we need to save and print a webpage on our Chrome or Opera browser as a PDF file that can readily be printed on a Printer.

What some people do is just to screenshot the page and print, which may reduce the text quality and not preserve the contents. In this blog post, I’ll take you through how to save your webpage as a PDF file, which you can print later.

How to Save/Print a Webpage as PDF on Mobile Phones

Follow the application procedure for your device below.

Saving Page as PDF on Chrome Browser

On the page you want to save or print, click on the Menu button (the three vertical dots by the top right of the browser)
Click on Share
Slide left on the options, Locate the Printer Sign
Click on Print on (a dialogue is going to come up, it’s easy, lets continue)
Click on the top box (to set to Save as PDF, if not already set)
Select the number of pages (You can also unmark the pages you don’t need)
Set the Paper size to Letter or A4 (ISO A4)
Click on the PDF or Download Sign when you’re done.


You’ll be asked to select your storage location (where you want to save the file to on your phone.)
We’re done, locate the file on your phone to confirm it’s saved. You can send it to cafe to then print the document on paper later.

Saving Page as PDF on Opera Browser.

Opera browser has a built-in feature that makes saving files/pages as PDF very easy.

On the page you want to save, just click on the download sign.

A popup that allow you to select the paper size and pages will come up for you to set.
Click the Download sign when done.

You’ll be asked to select your storage location (where you want to save the file to on your phone.)
We’re done, locate the file on your phone to confirm it’s saved. You can send it to cafe to then print the document on paper later.

How to Save/Print a Webpage as PDF on a Laptop

  • On the page you want to save as PDF or Print
  • Click on Ctrl + P, the printer dialogue will come up.
  • To save as PDF, click on “Destination”
  • Select “Save as PDF” or “Microsoft Print to PDF
  • To save a specific page, Select “Pages”
  • Select Custom, then enter the page number.
  • When you’re done, click on “Print
  • You’ll be printed to edit Filename and choose where to save to, Click “Save when done”

With this, we’ve been able to save our web page as a PDF file, which we can open later to study or Print out offline without having to connect to the internet again.
