How to Create FREE Personalised WhatsApp Link to Boost Sales

Getting a personalized Whatsapp link would help you to start a chat with someone without having their phone number saved. It is a much more easier way of access especially if you have a business. With a WhatsApp link, you can get people to start an instant chat with you as long as you know your phone number and it is linked to your WhatsApp account. Now how do you create a WhatsApp number link? I would be sharing two ways that I am aware of. They can be created through the manual way or through an app.

Through An App or Online

An important tool that can help with creating your WhatsApp link is Chatwith.io which is a free tool. It is easy and fast to use. You scroll down, input your phone number and any other additional details, and you are good to go. You can also use web links like create.wa.link to create. If your link is too long, you can visit bit.ly to shorten it or use other URL shortner available.

You use https://wa.me/(+number) where the (+number) is a full phone number in international format. Remove any zeroes, brackets, or plus when adding the phone number in international format.

For example, The link is

 https://wa.me/1XXXXXXXXXX

Don’t use: https://wa.me/+001-(XXX)XXXXXXX the international link added (+234)
So, if my phone number is 08061783878, my WhatsApp link wil be: https://wa.me/2348061783878

Using Whatsapp API Link

Instead of uisng the Whatsapp wa.me method, you can use the Whatsapp API link menthod, this is done by typing the following code:

https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=2348061783878&text=Hello+I+like+you

Where 2348061783878 represents your phone number with an international code without the + sign, and text=hello represents your pre-filled message. So, copy and edit the code , enter your phone number and add any pre filled message if needed.

https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=2348061783878&text=Hello+AABECS.+I+got+your+information+from+your+website.

The above sample runs directly to the specified phone number with the customised message. Note that the + sign after each word represents space. If you are a blogger or running an online ad, be it facebook or Whatsapp these links can be used as anchor text in picture ads or hyperlinks in articles. And if you think they are too long, you can visit bitly or tinyurl website to shorten them after creating it.

Create your own Whatsapp link with a pre-filled message

When you create links, you may want to create a link for a specific offer, content, product, or sales. For example, you want to create Whatsapp referrals, in that case, you would want to know who exactly is referring people to you, hence we need a pre-filled message.

Pre-filled message allows you to know where the person is messaging you from and quickly grasp what the person wants to discuss with you.

The pre-filled message will automatically appear in the text field of a chat. Use this format.

https://wa.me/whatsappphonenumber?text=url-encodedtext

where WhatsApp phone number is a full phone number in the international format and URL-encoded text is the URL-encoded pre-filled message. For example

https://wa.me/1XXXXXXXXXX?text=I'm%20interested%20in%20your%20car%20for%20sale

To create a link with just a pre-filled message, use https://wa.me/?text= with the urlcode, %20 as your (spacebar) For example:

https://wa.me/2348061783878?text=I'm%20inquiring%20about%20the%20book%20listing.

After clicking on the link, you’ll be directed to the phone number with a pre-filled message in it, You can also use this to track referrers.
